Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TyperBot is operated by Quasar Technologies LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the typerbot.app website and the TyperBot desktop app, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@typerbot.app.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, optional name, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), the creator code you used if any, your answer to "Where did you hear about us?", and when you accepted these policies.
  • Subscription and payment details: your plan, trial and renewal dates, and subscription status. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and held by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Activity: when you sign in, when you open the app or website while signed in, and your progress through checkout (started, completed, or left unfinished). We also record the platform (website, Windows or Mac).
  • Device, network and card signals: a device identifier (in the desktop app, derived from your computer's operating-system machine ID; on the website, a random ID stored in your browser), your IP address, and the card "fingerprint" Stripe provides (a code that identifies a card without revealing its number). We store these only as one-way cryptographic hashes, not in readable form.
  • Support messages you send us, and basic technical logs (such as request times and errors) that our servers keep to run the Service.

We do not collect the text you type with TyperBot. The desktop app types it locally and does not send it to us or store it.

3. How we use it

  • To provide the Service: create your account, unlock Pro features, and keep you signed in.
  • To process payments, trials, renewals and refunds through Stripe.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, including making sure each person gets only one free trial. We compare the hashed device, network and card signals above across accounts; if they show that a trial has already been used, the trial may be declined or cancelled (see our Terms of Service).
  • To send service emails: trial-ending and renewal reminders, receipts, security notices and, if you leave checkout unfinished, a single reminder to complete it.
  • To understand how the Service is used (for example, how often people sign in and where they heard about us) and improve it.
  • To respond to support requests and to comply with the law.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run TyperBot, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Stripe: payments, subscriptions and checkout.
  • Supabase: account authentication and database.
  • Railway and Vercel: hosting for our servers and website.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Google Analytics: website usage statistics, if allowed (see Cookies below).

If you signed up with a creator's code, we may share aggregate numbers with that creator (such as how many signups and payments came from their code), never your email address. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

5. Cookies and similar storage

Necessary (always on; the site doesn't work properly without them):

  • Sign-in: keeping you signed in to your account.
  • Preferences: remembering settings and your cookie choice.
  • Referrals: remembering a creator's referral code for 30 days so they get credit.
  • Fraud prevention: a random device ID (cookie tb_did) used to enforce one free trial per person.

Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) that tell us how many people visit and which pages they use. Google processes this data on our behalf. In the EU, UK and Switzerland these are off unless you press Accept; elsewhere they are on unless you press Decline. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page for payment security; see Stripe's privacy policy. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block necessary cookies you may not be able to stay signed in.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and subscription information while your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need it for legal, tax, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes (generally up to 7 years for payment records). Activity records and hashed signals are kept for up to 2 years. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the rest.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your name in your account and cancel your subscription at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending reminder emails, by writing to support@typerbot.app. We will respond within the time the law requires and won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Depending on where you live (for example California, Maryland, other U.S. states, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, including to know what we hold about you and to appeal a decision about your request.

If you are in the EU or UK: we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (preventing fraud and trial abuse, improving the Service), and to meet legal obligations. Your information is processed in the United States.

8. Children

TyperBot is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact support@typerbot.app and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, hashed identifiers and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security; we will notify you of a breach affecting your information as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and tell you by email or in the app about material changes.
