What is an auto typer?

An auto typer (also called an autotyper or keystroke typer) is a program that sends keyboard input for you. Instead of pasting a block of text all at once, it presses the keys one by one, exactly as if someone were typing on the keyboard.

Basic auto typers type at a fixed, robotic speed. TyperBot is built to type the way people actually do: speed that drifts around your target words per minute (WPM), typos that get noticed and backspaced, and short pauses while it types.

Why use TyperBot instead of copy and paste?

  • Some apps and websites block pasting, or strip formatting when you paste. Typed keystrokes work anywhere a keyboard does.
  • Typing reproduces text naturally in apps that record edit history or show live typing, such as shared documents, chat apps and screen recordings.
  • It frees your hands for long, repetitive text: templates, notes you have already written, code snippets, form answers.
  • It is useful for demos, tutorials and presentations, where watching text appear at a readable pace looks far better than a sudden paste.

Features that make it type like a human

  • Typing speed from 10 to 400 WPM, so you can match a slow, careful typist or a fast one.
  • Speed variance from 5% to 100%: the delay between keys changes constantly instead of ticking like a metronome.
  • Typo rate from 0% to 20%: TyperBot types a realistic mistake, backspaces it and types the correct word.
  • Pause rate from 0% to 20%: short thinking pauses as it types.
  • Global hotkeys — Ctrl+Enter to start and Ctrl+Shift+S to stop (Cmd on a Mac) — and you can set your own.
  • A 3-second countdown before typing starts, so you have time to click where the text should go.

See every setting on the features page or read how TyperBot models human typing.

Works in any app on Windows and macOS

Because TyperBot types at the operating-system level, it is not limited to one website or editor. If you can click into it and type, TyperBot can type into it:

  • Google Docs, Google Slides and Word Online — see the Google Docs guide
  • Microsoft Word, Pages, Notepad and other desktop editors
  • Code editors and IDEs such as VS Code
  • Email, chat apps, web forms and browser text boxes
  • Remote desktop and virtual machine windows where pasting is unavailable

Private by design

The text you give TyperBot is typed on your own computer. It is not uploaded, stored or used to train anything, and the app only sends keystrokes — it does not read your files or passwords.
