How to auto type into Google Docs
Open TyperBot and paste your text
Paste or write the text you want typed into the TyperBot window. It can handle anything from a sentence to a long document.
Choose how it should type
Set the words per minute, and how much speed variance, how many typos and how many pauses you want. Start with 60 WPM, a 2% typo rate and a 5% pause rate for a natural pace.
Click into your Google Doc
Put the cursor exactly where the text should go in the document.
Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac)
After a 3-second countdown TyperBot starts typing into the doc. Press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S) to stop at any time.
Why type into Google Docs instead of pasting?
- Pasting often drags in the wrong fonts, colors and spacing. Typed text takes on your document’s own formatting.
- Google Docs records edits as they happen. Typing gradually builds the document the way you would write it yourself, instead of one giant paste.
- It is great for recording tutorials, class demos and screen recordings, where viewers can follow the text as it appears.
- It saves your hands when you are re-typing notes or drafts you already wrote somewhere else.
Natural typing, not robotic typing
Many Google Docs auto typers type at a perfectly even speed, which looks nothing like a person. TyperBot varies the delay between every keystroke around your target WPM, occasionally hits a nearby wrong key and fixes it with backspace, and pauses now and then, the way people stop to think. Desktop app vs Google Docs Chrome extension
Most Google Docs auto typers are Chrome extensions, which only work inside the browser tab they are installed in. TyperBot types at the system level, so the same app works in Google Docs, Google Slides, Word Online, Microsoft Word, Notion, email and anything else with a text box — and it doesn’t need permission to read the pages you visit. Compare desktop and extension auto typers.
Use it responsibly
TyperBot types text you provide. Use it for your own writing and follow the rules of your school, class or workplace.
